Intake Procedure:WWomen call the Fund and leave a voicemail message that will be answered that day unless it is a weekend. The caseworker calls back, listens to the woman's story, gives her the phone numbers of a few doctors if she does not already have an appointment, discusses options, makes referrals to other social agencies who may be helpful to her outside the need for an abortion. Usually the voucher for the amount the Fund provides is faxed to the doctor. Occasionally there is a face-to-face meeting with the caseworker - e.g. a minor, victim of domestic abuse.
