Intake Procedure:Women will call the Fund's cell phone. Some of the time, a volunteer will answer, otherwise the woman should leave a message with her name and phone number, including area code. When screened, the woman will be asked in what city she lives, how many weeks pregnant, how much she can contribute toward the cost of her abortion, her monthly income, whether she has contacted any clinics yet, whether she has an appointment. The woman is not required to have an appointment prior to phoning, however, it is recommended that she makes an attempt to contact the National Abortion Federation hotline at 800-772-9100 prior to phoning to determine if she qualified for NAF funding. The Fund tries to return telephone messages within a few hours. If the woman contacts the Fund by email, she should include all the above information in her email, especially the city in which she lives. The Fund tries to respond to emails within 24 hours. Contacting the Fund by telephone usually gets a quicker response.

Intake Procedure:The Laura Knudson Women in Need Fund is a non interest loan program available to women in North Florida. Eligibility for funding is determined based on residency by county. Intake paperwork for funding is completed remotely, by a member of PPNF staff, over the phone. Clients seeking assistance must have an appointment scheduled with an abortion provider before the paperwork for funding can be processed.
