Intake Procedure:A woman must make an appointment for an abortion before calling the Fund's help line, even if she does not know how she will pay for the abortion. She then leaves a message with the requested information on the help line. The Fund phone counselors call women back based on their appointment date, aiming to speak with women at least 48 hours before their abortion date. The phone counselor will call the woman back using the code name "Lisa" to protect the woman's confidentiality. As well, the help line number or name will not show up on the digital screen on the woman's phone.
